Are you over 18 and unemployed, working less than 16 hours a week or currently unable to work due to family or mental or physical health problems?
Would you like to get fit, make friends, work outside growing fresh organic food and improve your chances of getting a new job?
Then being a Garden volunteer at the Dig It Community Allotment could be for you!
The allotment is child friendly and children are very welcome with their parents .
The site is also wheelchair accessible with a disabled adapted composting toilet.
The Volunteer days run from 10.30- 4pm (approx. earlier in inclement weather or midwinter) but volunteers can arrive and leave whenever suits them within this time).
No previous experience is required but you must be enthusiastic, friendly and enjoy working outside and working with people. Full training will be given.
People under 18, in work or not looking to return to work can still volunteer at the Dig It Community Allotment as a Gardening Volunteer.
