As a Furniture Upcycling Volunteer you can help us to increase the value of donated furniture by turning a tired, unwanted item into a fabulous one-off vintage piece or get creative with ideas of how to breathe new life into an old item of furniture.
What you'll do
- Upcycling furniture
- Sanding, painting, varnishing items
- General maintenance and small repairs
- Creative ideas
- Undertake appropriate training
- Provide excellent customer service to any donors, customers and Farleigh staff and volunteers.
Friendly and helpful manner
Good customer service skills
Willingness to work in a team
Experience of working with furniture or upcycling items is desirable
As a volunteer you will never be made to do any tasks that you are
uncomfortable with, we rely heavily on the kindness and generosity of
our volunteers and want them to feel happy in the role. Full training will
be given and there is always help and support on hand if you need it.
