Friendship and Bereavement Group Volunteer

We are looking for volunteers to support a popular friendship group, which is for people who have been bereaved.  This is a welcoming and friendly group who are looking to make friends, go on trips/outings and find new interests.

If you are a great listener, friendly and good with people this role could be for you!

You would be joining a a group of volunteers to:

  • Help people mix and chat to each other
  • Facilitate conversations, especially if someone was shy or introverted, by helping them make new friends
  • Help members make teas and coffees if necessary

Ideally we are looking someone to join our group of volunteers to set up, attend and clear the room each Wednesday from 12.45 – 3.30 pm in Rayleigh. 

Skills

We are looking for someone who:

-        Is friendly, approachable and kind

-        Has good listening skills and a sense of humour

-        Is reliable, patient and understanding

Availability Details
