Facilities Team Member

Belchamps Scout Centre is a large and busy outdoor activity centre that provides activities, camping and accommodation to not only Scouts but Girlguides, Schools, Youth Groups and other charitable organisations.  The centre itself is set in 30 acres of woodland and open fields, it also includes a number of indoor areas offering year round activities and accommodation.

Our Facilities team are a crucial part of the Activity Centre, ensuring the centre is presentable and safe for the 1000’s of young people that come to the centre each year.  The centre has been closed for a number of months and a large amount of work and attention is now required to ensure we are ready to reopen.  As a volunteer you will also assist with the upkeep and maintenance of the open fields, woodlands and its buildings.  Tasks could include:

Grass Cutting, Strimming, Painting, Basic Carpentry, Woodland Management, Decorating, Essential Maintenance, Cleaning Fencing & Wildlife Management.

No formal qualifications required.

You may have professional skills that are relevant to this role, however all that’s needed is a can do attitude and bags of enthusiasm.If needed, we will provide all the training in relation to this role.
