Events Support Volunteer

Overall aim: attending events/promotions in your area, to promote Carers First and to raise awareness of our service.


 Helping to plan & organise events

 Helping at some of our events – this can include putting up displays, handing out leaflets, approaching members of the public to talk to them about Carers First and our services,  making refreshments, ensuring please sign in and out where appropriate

 Booking equipment internally, ensuring you have everything you need for an  event

 Assist with promoting on social media and taking photograph

Additional tasks:

Attend regular supervision sessions with the Volunteer Coordinator

Attend Carers First volunteer information & networking sessions


 A genuine enthusiasm for Carers First and the work we do

 Outgoing, organised and decisive

 Smart appearance, approachable, polite and able to adapt to surroundings

 Suitable knowledge of Carers First services (training will be provided), and local services

 An ability to talk and listen to people
