Come and join the Essex Forest Initiative in helping Essex reduce its impact on climate change and increase its benefits to both wildlife and people.
Our aim is to plant 375,000 trees by 2026 and we need your help to make this a reality.
Activities will include tree planting, tree guard installation and mulch spreading.
The planting season runs through the winter so volunteers will need to be prepared to attend in all weathers.
We have planting sites across Essex so we hope you can find one suitable for you.
A willingness to commit to physically demanding activities throughout the winter months.
An ability to follow simple instructions.
An ability to work as part of a team to deliver the planting goals.
Some sites are remote and ground can be muddy so access for some might be restricted.
