Lady McAdden is an Essex based charity promoting breast health awareness and the early detection of Breast Cancer, we also support people who have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer both during and after their treatment, with a range of developing services that offer a holistic approach to deepen this support.
To deliver our services we are often out and about at local events, fairs, festivals, community activities and schools highlighting the importance of breast awareness and raising the profile of the work we do. We also hold events ourselves a few times a year to raise funds. We are looking for volunteers to help us prepare and attend both our own and other people’s events. The work is very varied and may involve helping set-up and staff our stand, getting packs of materials together, serving refreshments and providing information about our services.
You will enjoy this role if you like meeting people, listening, talking and helping people, plus a little bit of back-office admin from time to time! Lady McAdden is a welcoming charity, here to support anyone before, during and after Breast Cancer and we really appreciate all our volunteers as they help us to deliver our message about the importance of understanding breast health to our local community.
