Maldon District Council are looking for volunteers who can assist in the opening and manning of rest centres as and when they are required.
Volunteers will be helping those people evacuated from their homes due to an emergency. This will involve meeting and greeting, providing assistance to people with specific needs, registering of those attending the rest centre and other duties.
This opportunity is flexible.
Training for this role will take place as follows:
Thursday 26 July, 2018 - Chelmsford City Council, Duke Street, Chelmsford, CM1 1JE
Wednesday 22nd August 2018 - Maldon District Council Offices, Princes Road, Maldon, CM9 5DL
You MUST be registered to attend the training session.
Training covers the theory of rest centres and disaster management, background in recovery from a disaster, survivor needs.
Once trained you will be kept informed of relevant information and further training
