Treasurer - Chelmsford Diocesan Mothers' Union

The Treasurer is a vital role in the organisation and the person appointed does not have to be a member of Mothers' Union, but does need an understanding of our work with marriage and family life. The person would be asked to attend four trustees' meeting per year and two meeting of the members as well as giving advice if required to members. Although our income and expenditure mean we do not require an Audit or our accounts, they have to be examined by an Independent Examiner and the treasurer would be expected to get the accounts to the level required for this. It's hoped the treasurer would advise the trustees regarding financial matters.

Skills

Financial knowledge; accountancy/book-keeping experience. The ability to bank online and advise the trustees regarding all matters financial including insurance.
