Digital Engagement Volunteer

We are working in partnership with FareShare to bring Food On Our Doorstep (FOOD) clubs to Southend. FOOD clubs provide healthy food at low cost to people at risk of food insecurity. Club members save money, and by utilising surplus food, the service reduces levels of food waste across the country.
A Digital Engagement Volunteer will create innovative digital content to support the recruitment of FOOD Club members and volunteers, so we can continue to improve life chances and benefit the wellbeing of local families.

A Digital Engagement Volunteer role can involve a range of tasks. Training will be provided.

• Present case studies in creative ways for specific target audiences
• Develop engaging content for social media platforms, particularly Facebook and LinkedIn.
• Research and find digital groups, organisations or events where we can promote our services to recruit new members and volunteers.
• Film footage and create videos to promote events and share success stories on digital platforms.
• Write blog content highlighting the impact of Southend FOOD clubs, for use across all Family Action digital platforms.
• Understand and adhere to all Family Action policies and procedures.
