Do you know a bit about using computers and/or smartphones and are you willing to help others who are struggling with technology, or who perhaps might never have used a computer / smartphone before?
To support a project promoting technology to older and/or disabled people, we are looking for ‘digital buddies’ to help us in drop-in centres around the area. Note: we won’t be expecting anyone to work alone – our digital buddies will typically work with others to support the learners.
People who are comfortable using technology. We are not expecting people to be masters of everything (‘though that would be great!) - just, for example, able to handle email or make Skype calls, etc. Of course, it’s essential that our volunteers are able to communicate at a level which our learners will understand!
