Role summary

Provide a dietetic advisory service to St Helena patients, families and staff

Main duties of the role

 Providing a dietetic advice service to the catering manager for the development of menus.

 Provide a dietetic advice service to the multidisciplinary team, patients and families.

 Undertake nutritional assessments of patients where required

 Devise, monitor, review and improve nutritional care plans

 Educate other healthcare professionals in the team about food and nutrition issues

 Help to prepare information packs, flyers and other promotional materials for patients, families and staff.


Training & supervision

 Online health and safety training is mandatory (repeated annually)

Experience & qualifications required

 BSc Hons in Dietetics, or a related science degree with a postgraduate diploma or higher degree in Dietetics.

 Registered with HCPC
