We are looking for a volunteer to help us on Wednesdays at our group CST.Today, for people living with mild to moderate dementia in Bishops Stortford.
The role is a fun and rewarding one and would consist of helping with general setting up and putting away in the hall, sharing the making of teas and coffee with the other volunteers, supporting our members with activities such as indoor games, exercise to music, singing, dancing, crosswords, quizzes etc all in all helping to make the day as much fun and stimulating for the person living with mild dementia as we can.
Basic training and a DBS will be given,plus the chance to become a dementia friend.
No previous experience needed, but experience caring for someone with dementia would be an advantage. Volunteer should be caring, understanding, patient, with a fun personality
