CVS Thurrock Reception Volunteer

Volunteers are required to support the meeting and greeting of guests to the Beehive Voluntary & Community Resource Centre and to sign post visitors to the service they require. Volunteers may be asked to support other admin tasks whilst on reception at quiet times, such as labelling envelopes. Once comfortable with the role volunteers will be asked to provide cover alone but with telephone support for non-frequent enquiries. Volunteers will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate with callers and accurately record and then take messages face to face or over the telephone. Volunteers should be willing to reflect the ethos of a community setting. Volunteers will need to be diplomatic, welcoming, enjoy using their own initiative and eager to work with a wide range of people from different organisations & community groups across Thurrock.
