In October 2018 we want volunteers at Springfield and Writtle libraries.
Join us to help customers enjoy using the library, Volunteers will be managed and supported by library staff.
We are looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic about libraries and enjoy working with people of all ages. You need to be willing to make a regular commitment.
There is initial training and on-going support from library staff.
Making all customers welcome, supporting them to use the library and talking to them about library services
Supporting people to borrow and return books on the self-service units
Basic IT support on the public computers
Helping people find the books they want and supporting basic enquiries
Shelving and helping with bookstock and requests
Opening and closing the library
Supporting children and young people to take part in the Summer Reading Challenge
