Cup of Tea & Catch up Volunteers for Groups around Braintree

We are looking for a volunteer to be able to visit some of our activity groups that are dotted around the district.

The groups are for local people who come together at the chosen venue (Cafe - community Hall - sometime even a pub). Most sessions only last 2 hours, we have a cup of tea and exchange ideas and offers of support with eachother. This could be things like offering to do a little shopping for someone who maybe unwell - picking up papers - walking the dog - ironing a shirt or baking a cake. We all need a little help now and then this is a great way of asking for a little bit of someones time or indeed offering some.

We would like a volunteer to oversee these sessions and to share information on our latest activities and events.

Skills

It is important that you like chatting with people . We do cover the whole of Braintree District - it is essential that you are able to drive. We do reemburse travel expenses.
