Cheerful, welcoming volunteers volunteers are urgently needed to support the implementation of the vaccination process at Rivermead Gate Surgery.

Volunteers will be asked to support in car-park marshalling, meet & greet, checking appointments, reminding patients of hygiene procedures, guidance, clean down, assisting the less-mobile, and observing patients for side effects post-vaccine.

Shifts are on Saturdays and Sundays from October to December.

No special skills or prior experience required.

A Zoom-walkthrough and introduction to the surgery will be given prior to your first shift, staff will be on hand to help at all times.

If assisting with car-park roles then please be sure you are happy and able to be on your feet for a few hours at a time, and that you have a warm coat/ hat/ gloves.

Volunteers should be welcoming, reassuring, and confident approaching people. Enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in and help are the most important qualities.

Volunteers must have no COVID-19 symptoms or belong to a vulnerable group.

Volunteers must not have been requested to self-isolate or shield.
