We are looking for Winter Resilience Champions who will help to provide the citizens of Colchester with up-to-date guidance and advice on Covid-19. This will help all the residents to be able to make sense of the latest facts about the virus and make informed choices.
With a presence in key locations throughout the town and supporting the Winter Resilience team, Winter Resilience Champions will ensure citizens know how to keep safe, warm and connected during the winter months with this information and the handing out of packs (full COVID guidelines will be followed at all times and PPE provided).
We are looking for volunteers with a friendly and helpful manner, who enjoy meeting members of the public and are happy to share information and advice on maintaining health, wellbeing and independence.
Please note that we are looking for volunteers who are able to start as soon as possible.
You do not need any formal qualifications to become a COVID-19 Community Champion. All we are looking for is the person who has good social skills, is sensitive and caring towards others, is reliable and dependable.
