Do you love reading?
Do you have a spare few hours each week?
Could you go into a local primary school and support the same few children each week to grow a love of reading?
If you have answered yes, we would love to hear from you!
Coram Beanstalk, a charity with 50 years’ experience of supporting children to grow a love of reading are looking for volunteers to go into local partner primary schools and support children to grow a love of reading.
You will be trained through interactive groups sessions to deliver book-based sessions 1 to 1 with a couple of children each week. It is not about teaching children to read but all about helping children to find how fun books can be.
Skills
All we ask is that you are able to make a weekly commitment, can complete a DBS (paid for by us) and want to support children in your community.
