South Ockendon Centre (Community Hub) is looking for volunteers and trustees who can support and promote the development of the hub for local people.
Community Hubs are drop in centres that offer information and advice, access to computers, various activities, support groups and much more. They are a place where people can come and get help with getting online and completing online forms or just somewhere to pop in for a chat and a cup of tea!
Volunteer roles may include meeting and greeting, supporting people with forms, providing IT assistance and dealing with a broad range of enquiries. Volunteers are also on hand to signpost residents and to listen to what the community needs.
Volunteering at a hub can be a great way to meet new people and to give back to the local community. So come and be the first smiling face that people see when they visit the South Ockendon Centre.
