Our countryside, our way of living and our futures are under the threat of Global Warming. We cannot carry on the way we are destroying valuable resources, threatening the extinction of many species, including wild animals, insects and bees without whom we would not exist. We have seen floods and heat waves with temperatures changing in ways that we have not seen before. We now know that this is partly to do with us humans creating more CO2 levels, plastics polluting our land and seas, burning of forest land and simple greed and abuse of our planet.
Our exhibition next May 2020 is an effort to create awareness and importantly to show how small actions can make a change for the better! We plan to have a public opening with local Council and dignitaries.
Simple things such as being responsible and not littering our towns and countryside, recycling waste products such as food, papers, plastics and larger items of clothing, industrial waste etc.. Very small amounts by each of you can make a huge difference. Living heathy, exercise and nutrition.
Our project looks to show how we can make a difference locally! We are asking artists, film makers, photographers, musicians, poets, writers, sculptors and anyone with an interest in coming up with ideas to create awareness and offer solutions and hope for the future. Ideas may be positive or negative maybe it’s a beautiful painting of our Forest or a photograph of rubbish and damage, perhaps a sculpture made from waste materials or something that symbolises “hope!” Could it be the words of a song or poem?
