Circles of Support matches volunteer mentors with a young person with learning disabilities of a similar age to form a circle of friends to help them access activities, develop friendships, experience new things, increase their independence and skills, and have fun - just like any other teenager.
As a Circles of Support mentor you will join in a range of social activities with the young person you are supporting together with other members of the Circle. Activities are planned to help the young person improve their independence and life skills and can range from going bowling or for a meal, helping them learn how to travel on public transport or going shopping.
Activities are planned at Circle meetings held every 4-6 weeks with activities weekly or fortnightly. InterAct staff attend Circle meetings and provide support and guidance.

Activities are planned at Circle Meetings and as a group you will arrange dates and times for activities which are convenient for everyone. These tend to run after school, during evenings, weekends and school holidays.
