Charity Store Volunteers

Peaceful Place is a charity for people of working age and older living with dementia.

Our aim is to help our members live their best lives.

We are looking for volunteers to join our well-established team and support us in our charity shop located in North Avenue, Southend.

We need help in the shop with the following duties:

  • Sorting and labelling donations
  • Stock rotation
  • Keeping the shop clean, bright and inviting
  • Providing great customer service

The benefits of volunteering for us include:

  • A sense of achievement and purpose
  • Feeling like you are part of the community
  • Helps you to learn new skills
  • Provides opportunities to meet new people and make friends

If you can spare a few hours a week to help, we would love to hear from you.  We are happy for you to specify the hours and days you can volunteer.

We have a friendly and welcoming team at our charity shop and we will support you as a volunteer if you choose to help us.

Skills

Sales experience would be beneficial, but not essential, as training and support is provided. Also, a good rapport with customers is a plus.
