Assisting in the receipt, sorting, checking and preparation of goods donated for retailing at our charity shops. This is to include cleaning of bric a brac and laundering of clothing where necessary.
Assist in the efficient running of the shop by ensuring that stock is properly prepared before sale.
Assist in promoting the image and work of Carers Choices.
Adhere to Carers Choices policies and procedures at all times.
The role is for one day per week on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and you will be required to commit to half a day as a minimum.
You will be helping to raise funds and the profile of a local charity whilst developing your own skills and experinece and meeting new people in the community. Supporting local carers.
Volunteers should be friendly and helpful with good communication skills, the ability to get on with people and must be able to work as part of a team. You should be enthusiastic and open to giving a receiving feedback to and from the general manager.
