Would you like to work with girls and young women to make a difference in your community while developing your skills and making new friends? Volunteering with Girlguiding could be for you!
As a Brownie leader you will work as part of a team to plan and organise activities for girls aged 7-10 years old. Brownies work on badges, play games, try adventurous activities and go along to special events, day trips, sleepovers, camps and holidays.
You will be required to commit to attending meetings on a weekly basis as adult to child ratios must be maintained.
In return, we offer everyone support, specialised training and the opportunity to develop new skills, meet new people and have fun. As a new leader you will be supported to complete the Girlguiding Leadership Qualification, most of which is all about doing things with the girls during meetings. Many women have found this experience invaluable to include on their CV when applying for further education placements, and on job applications.
