The Epping Forest Sunflower Group (formally The Chigwell Disabled Group) is a registered charity which specialise in activities and support to physically disabled people but welcome community participation and those with special needs. The Group has been operating since 1999 as a voluntary group and became a charity in 2001.
The Sunflower Group operates every Friday at the Methodist Church on Loughton High Road from 10.30 - 15.00 and welcomes visitors.
The Group provides art and craft workshops, games, music, drama, sports and outdoor sensory walks and talks.
The members use multimedia tools such as photography, and video to create documentaries and exhibitions to portray the wide range of activities that the Sunflower Group undertakes.
The Sunflower Hour is a digital radio broadcast that some members produce working with LYP Radio of Loughton on a Friday morning, just another of the local activities that the group does.
The Sunflower Group are always looking for volunteers, donations and sponsors to help with day to day activities and projects.
We need a blogger to write a blog, keeping the community informed about what A Vision for Britian is doing as well as Sunflower Group and requesting support.
