Bereavement Support Volunteer

Cruse Bereavement Care Essex provides bereavement support to adults & children in the county.  Our volunteers sit alongside bereaved people and listen to their stories and help them through some very difficult times. You do not need to have qualifications or previous experience, but you do need to care about bereaved people and have time to offer.

You will need to be empathetic and have excellent communication skills.  If you have personal experience of bereavement this is helpful but not essential. We are part of the national charity Cruse Bereavement Care but provide local services for local people.

We have a course starting on October 31st 2020 which will take place on Saturdays plus a half days induction.
