Replenish U.K. provides a voluntary one to one befriending service for adults with mental health problems living in the community within the Maldon and Chelmsford districts.
Befriending is a means of reducing the isolation that so often accompanies the experiences of mental health and volunteers will regularly visit a person who is experiencing mental health issues to have a chat, go for a walk and other outings and activities of common interest.
Befrienders are caring committed people with an open mind, willing to give of themselves in friendship and caring support.
No experience or knowledge of mental health is required and volunteers are given free training as well as supervision and support.
Volunteers with previous mental health issues have valuable experience and can become Befrienders as long as they are in a period of stability.
