Opportunity

Reach Out for Mental Health need volunteers to operate our out of hours drop-in service to support individuals who are feeling suicidal. A volunteer’s role is simple yet incredibly effective; to create a space for the individual to feel heard, value and understood. This then provides an environment for the individual to reflect on what they have discussed, how they feel and what options they have. No previous experience is required for this role as full training will be provided.

Skills

No skills or qualifications but you need to be friendly, good listener, non-judgmental, patient and genuinely want to make a positive difference to people in crisis in your community.
