We are looking for that special person who can be trained to become an assistant to help run the hyperbaric oxygen chamber at CHARMS.
We require a Volunteer on Wednesdays and/or Fridays (09:30 - 17:00), reporting to our CEO (Dr Ben Newman Wright), happy to wear Personal Protective Equipment provided, interested in work with the 'Clinically Extremely Vulnerable' and wishing to work with Technology.
We have no preference for any particular individual, other than ability to concentrate for long periods in a 'Safety Critical Environment', and our Centre is Disability-Friendly.
While any face-to-face position brings certain risks during this Pandemic, we have strict Policy on Infection Control & 'Social Distancing'. You do not require any experience and will be trained to provide Hyperbaric & Normobaric Oxygen Therapy.'
During the First COVID-19 National Lockdown we were reopened by Chelmsford City Council as an 'Independent Health Provider' offering a 'Critical Service' to the 'Clinically Extremely Vulnerable' including 'Shielding'. We remain open, helping to save lives and maintain quality of life for people with life-threatening & -limiting conditions. Our Volunteers (eg. EMTs; Medical Scientists; Engineers) continue to 'Self-Isolate' when not at work. Our Members have Cancer, Neurological & Urological Disorders, Diabetes, Lyme Disease & Sports Injuries. We supported former Captain of the English Cricket Team, Nasser Hussain, and continue to help Sports Competitors including Superbike Racers. During the COVID-19 Pandemic we have also helped people with Respiratory Conditions, post-Stem Cell Therapy and others recovering from COVID-19.
