Josephs Court is our wellness centre based in The Hythe, Colchester. The centre offers a range of activities in our purpose built wellness centre, where every piece of equipment is designed to create strength and muscle tone and improve general fitness. Above all, Josephs Court is a community hub for anyone affected by MS. It runs a range of complementary therapies and it is a warm, relaxing space where people come together.
We are looking for a volunteer assistant wellness coach who will assist our wellness coaches who provide exercise prescription to our clients with multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions. For this role we are looking for volunteers who have a background in the fitness industry, preferably those with a minimum qualification at Level 3. Additional qualifications will be advantageous. This position will include assisting wellness coaches, liaising with clients, their family and carers, making refreshments and to be a listening ear and to signpost to other services where applicable. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with the general public in a professional manner.
The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast paced, high energy environment. You will have excellent communication skills and an ability to motivate and inspire others. Full training on the specialised equipment and other relevant training will be given.
