Our activities include (although volunteers do not need to do all of these):
- excavating, measuring and recording site features
- cleaning, marking and recording finds
- mounting and/or manning displays at events
- historical research
Entirely voluntary from beginners to those with experience.
Training and guidance is given on site or in the Group's Headquarters at Brickhouse Farm, Maldon.

Weekly opening times: - Wednesday evenings 7 pm to 9 pm during March to October - Saturdays mornings from 9.30 am to 12.00 noon during November to February Excavations: Site team leaders will advise dates and times when sites are open.
