You will have the opportunity to make a real difference to local residents. You will be given full training and ongoing support as part of a busy team of volunteers.
You will be trained to interview, research and give advice across all subject areas, the majority of which is currently being delivered by telephone.
Our main offices are in Maldon, with outreach surgeries in Burnham and Southminster, but it is possible that some of your time will be spent working from home.
Skills
Excellent communication skills: face to face; on the telephone and in writing.
Ability to use IT for researching information and keeping records.
A high level of literacy for understanding documents, writing case records etc.
A high level of numeracy for helping clients with financial problems etc.
No particular qualifications required.
