We are looking for a friendly outgoing volunteer with excellent communication skills, who is capable of working on their own initiative, as well as part of a team. This is a varied and interesting opportunity, providing support to the Volunteer Centre Co-ordinator, including assistance with the day to day administration of the Volunteer Essex database.
Duties may also include:
Maintaining up to date records on the Volunteer Centre database.
Making contact with local voluntary and community groups by e-mail or telephone.
Liaising with potential volunteers with regard to available volunteering opportunities.
Making follow-up phone calls to organisations and volunteers.
Monitoring feedback from service users.
Liaising with other volunteer centres by telephone or e-mail.
Assisting the Volunteer Centre Co-ordinator with other administration duties, such as photocopying and preparing for events.
Volunteers must be computer literate and comfortable answering the telephone and also confident when dealing with members of the public, adhering fully to the RRAVS confidentiality policy.

Availability Details
The office is open Tuesday - Thursday, between the hours of 9.30 am and 2.30 pm. The hours of work will be within this time frame, from 4 hours a week - to be discussed at interview.
