PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
From a few hours to a few days commitment a year, you can volunteer for your local mental health charity in a flexible way and make a difference.
The Ad-Hoc Volunteer role will vary from event to event, from marshalling at a marathon, helping at water stations, baking cakes, helping at a promotional stall or community talk, to driving our small minibus or helping to set up and packing down at an event, helping at a ticket booth or welcome desk, the tasks are varied.
If you like meeting new people, you have a passion for mental health and helping others, you have a few hours or days to donate and you are wanting to be a part of your local community, this is the role for you!
You will be asked to sign a one-day Ad-Hoc Volunteer agreement prior to the event. In this role you can dip in and out of volunteering and still make a difference.
Skills
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
· As part of the volunteer team, follow allocated tasks given by staff at the event
· Ensure you are clear on your responsibilities and complete the days tasks to the best of your abilities.
· Report any issues and or concerns to staff as they occur, as well as any successes at the end of the day.
· Assist with setting up, maintaining resources during the day and closing down.
· Take part in appropriate training and development activities
· Notify staff if you are unable to volunteer on your pre-booked day.
· Ensure Health and Safety regulations are adhered to in line with Trust Links Health and Safety policy
· Ensure Safeguarding requirements are met in line with Trust Links Safeguarding policy.

Availability Details
This is a flexible role. You can become part of the Ad-Hoc volunteer group at Trust Links and volunteer as and when you have time to with no ongoing commitment.
