Ad-hoc Community Volunteer in North Essex

We know that for young lives, when the doctor says cancer, normal life stops. Cancer affects every part of life - relationships, confidence, money, school, work. CLIC Sargent care teams will fight tirelessly to limit the damage cancer causes.

By joining our team as Ad-Hoc Community Volunteer you'll be part of our team in the community who we can call on for ad-hoc support and exciting events. This role is varied, very flexible and essential to ensure CLIC Sargent's presence is felt far and wide.

This role is hugely varied but could include any of the following tasks

• Supporting with organising fundraising events in your area, this could mean supporting your Fundraising Engagement Manager, other CLIC Sargent supporters, or arranging one yourself

• Collecting cheques and attending events when we can't be there

• Participating in bucket collections

• Being an advocate for CLIC Sargent in your area, talking about our work and recruiting volunteers to support at events

• Collecting and delivering CLIC Sargent materials to and from supporters in your area

• Keeping in touch with your local Fundraising Engagement Manager about activities in your area


• You should be aged 18 or over

• You'll care about CLIC Sargent and want to help limit the damage cancer causes for children and young people beyond their health

• Knowledge of your local area and the willingness to travel within it

• Confident when talking and approaching new people

• Flexible approach to getting things done

This role is varied and we are looking for a volunteer who would be willing to help us on an ah-hoc basis over a long period of time.
