Action Team Volunteers

Short on time? Finding the time to volunteer can be challenging with all the pressures of modern life. In recognition of this, we have developed the Action Team which is designed to fit around your lifestyle. As a member of your local Action Team, you will be offered a wide variety of volunteering opportunities - the difference is that you're in control. You decide which events and activities you want to support, how often you volunteer and you choose whether the time and date suits you! What will I be doing? Helping Cancer Research UK, on an occasional basis, at a variety of fundraising and awareness events and activities Helping at fundraising events (marshalling, manning reception, erecting marquees etc.). Helping in our shops with special projects or emergencies Assisting with our awareness raising activities such as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, International day for children's cancers, etc. Garnering support for our campaigning work by collecting signatures at our events How much time do I need to commit? As a volunteer, you control the time you give and we hope that you will be able to fit volunteering in with your work and other commitments You will only be asked to do short-term or one-off events You will be offered specific volunteering
