RRAVS Celebrating Volunteers’ Week 2025 with a Cream Tea Thank You!
Volunteers are the heart of our communities and to show appreciation during Volunteers’ Week 2025, RRAVS invited their amazing volunteers to join them on the Tuesday of Volunteer’s Week for a special Cream Tea celebration – a small but heartfelt way to say thank you for everything they do.
Held in a warm and welcoming setting, the event brought together many of their dedicated volunteers, giving everyone a chance to catch up, relax, and enjoy some delicious scones, jam, cream, and a good old-fashioned cup of tea. As always, one of the most hotly debated topics of the day was the age-old question: cream on top or jam on top? Opinions were divided, but the laughter and friendly debates were a wonderful reminder of the community spirit that volunteering creates.
This gesture was to acknowledge their continued support, commitment, and the positive impact they make every day across Rayleigh and Rochford. Whatever volunteer roles they do every single one of their volunteers contributes to making Rayleigh and Rochford a better place to live and work.
Events like this Cream Tea gathering remind us of the importance of recognising and celebrating the efforts of volunteers – not just during Volunteers’ Week, but all year round. It’s a chance to pause, connect, and appreciate the power of giving time to others.
