Rewarding is Volunteers Word

16 June 2017

Over the past month the Volunteer Centre -Maldon and District has been asking people to describe their volunteering experience using just one word.

Linda Dutaut, Volunteer Centre coordinator said “We had a great response with some people offering more than one word to explain what they get out of volunteering. It has been interesting seeing the list of words grow. We had a over 20 different words suggested but Rewarding was a clear winner with one fifth of the total vote”

Other words included

  • fulfilling,
  • worthwhile,
  • exciting,
  • fun,
  • contribution,
  •  satisfaction,
  • uplifting,
  • happy,
  • valued and
  • friendship.
