Volunteer Essex has been successful in gaining the internationally recognised BS EN ISO 9001 Quality Management Award for its work in providing support to people interested in volunteering whilst also supporting organisations that involve volunteers.
Volunteer Essex colleagues worked collaboratively to develop this specialist standard of quality accreditation, with Centres in Tendring, Chelmsford and Epping Forest being the first to undertake external assessment to form the exemplar.
The Award recognises Volunteer Essex commitment to exceptional quality of service and customer focus as well as compliance. It is generally accepted that organisations who achieve certification to BS EN ISO 9001 are at the forefront of their respective industries.
David Eniffer, Chair of Volunteer Essex and Manager of the Tendring Centre commented:
“We’ve always been proud of the level of service offered by our Volunteer Centre and this has now been confirmed by external experts. We are delighted this has been recognised with a formal award.”
Alan Baskerville, the CQS Assessor who undertook the assessment paid particular tribute to
“the commitment from management and the investment in people and training that enables the Volunteer Centre to provide an efficient service.”
