Great British Spring Clean

20 January 2018

The Great British Spring Clean is a campaign with a simple aim: to bring people across the country together to clear up the litter that blights our towns, villages, countryside and beaches.

The campaign aims to inspire 500,000 people to get outdoors, get active and help clear up the rubbish that lies around us.

Join a growing army of #LitterHeroes who have had enough of other people’s litter and are willing to do something about it.

Together we can make a difference and clean up the environment on our doorstep.

If you are in Maldon District you can  click here  to view details of a local initiative taking place on Friday 2nd March.

You can contact your local volunteer centre details here or go to the Keep Britain Tidy webpage.

So 20 volunteers spent an afternoon gathering litter and fly tipping in Roydon, massive amount of debris removed from hedgerows, including mattresses , bed frames, oil cans etc but local council refuses to help remove this rubbish to tip, so much for support for the local residents.
