Getting Back to Normal

(or as close to normal as we can!)

Volunteering is about making a difference – it’s a way to go about improving the lives of others, or giving back to your community or an organization you care about.  During the current pandemic lots of you have been making a difference by volunteering in your local community.

If you’ve been supporting your community by volunteering during lockdown you’ll have experienced that feel-good feeling of helping others.  So why not keep it going?  By helping a local charity or organisation post-lockdown you will be helping your community return to normality and you’ll get the opportunity to meet and socialize with new people, gain new skills or share your experience.

Understandably some more vulnerable volunteers are continuing to protect themselves from the Coronavirus by staying home a bit longer.  As a result, charities have seen a drop in returning volunteers and as our High Street charity shops and local museums begin to reopen their doors many need new volunteers more than ever.

If you’d like to get involved in your community and are looking for inspiration why not check out our Top Opportunities. Or you can carry out a search from our Home Page using your postcode or contact your local Volunteer Centre to find out where the need is in your area.
