Volunteer Essex is delighted to announce that they have been short listed as finalists in the fifth annual Essex Digital Awards.
The awards recognise reward innovation and progressive thinking by businesses, individuals, events, charities or educational establishments across a huge ranges of industries. Volunteer Essex has been nominated in the School, Education and Charity category.
The Volunteer Essex website is a one stop shop for anyone interested in finding out more about volunteering across the county of Essex. It has been set up by the network of Volunteer Centres to provide information to both volunteer involving organisations and potential volunteers.
There are two elements to the website the first being the website itself and secondly there is an online database of over 2,000 volunteering opportunities available in the county.
Sarah Laskar Chair of Volunteer Essex said “we are delighted to be short listed for an award, our team of Volunteer Centre coordinators across Essex work hard to maintain the information on the website and we believe we have developed a user friendly and comprehensive website for the charities and the wider public of Essex”
The finalist will now under go a judging process and compete for Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards at the Presentation evening at Hylands House, Chelmsford on May 3rd.
